Growing

I’m beginning to realize that writing about my images, in addition to taking at least one pic a day, is proving to be a benefit. A greater benefit than I first thought. The goal of this one-year project is to grow as a photographer. I saw the logic behind that immediately. Practicing anything every day for a year is bound to have a positive effect. But I’ve never been a journal writer, and I’m finding that being present enough to record what I am feeling – whether it’s about the day’s image or about whatever is going on at the time of writing the day’s post – I’m finding that, too, is helping me see.

Eyes peeled, mind open, more soon.

Love the shot and your observations about the value of writing about your photographs in addition to taking them! I'm finding the same thing as well. Forces you to be present, which is always a good thing. Glad you've joined!
